Using the site

The site is free for personal use: look up words, use the solvers, share links to any page. Automated bulk scraping that burdens the service, or misrepresenting this site's content as your own, is not permitted.

Our data and its licences

The dictionary content is built from openly licensed sources, each credited on thesources and licenses page. Parts of our pages derived from Wiktionary are available under CC BY-SA 4.0; if you reuse those parts, the same licence applies to your copy. The word lists behind the solvers are public domain.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep definitions, forms and rhymes correct, but language is large and the underlying data is community-maintained. The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Do not rely on it where an error could cause harm, and verify anything high-stakes against a second source. If you spot a mistake, pleasetell us.

Wordle is a trademark of The New York Times Company. wordhippo.cc is independent of all of them; our tools describe game styles functionally and use only public-domain word lists.
